He stuttered while she brushed past him laughing heading to his car.

She helped herself into the car and sat down waiting for him to come inside which he did five minutes later, staring at her with surprised look on his face.

“Won’t you drive? “She asked as his stares on her won’t go away.

She nodded while he ignited the car and soon, they zoomed off.

“Jake! He just left with her! “Max screamed as he left the glass window where he was spying them from.

Jake’s eyes widened when he heard his friend say that,
“What!! You mean that bastard left with her? ”

“Yeah but it looks like she was the one who wanted to go with him”
Jake’s eyes reddened with anger.

“That sl*t! “He blurted without knowing when he said it, Linda gasped when she heard him say that about his own girlfriend.

“Brother!! “She yelled,
“Max take her inside, I’m not ready for her please! “He pleaded on top of his voice feeling so angry as he sat down on the couch helping himself with some wine.

After a hearty meal from one of the expensive restaurants, they started chatting away freely.

She giggled at intervals as he made nasty jokes which he enjoyed especially when he hear her laughing at his own jokes.

“I didn’t know you were this funny “she chuckled after laughing for a while.

Soon, they stood up while he footed their bills and left, he held her hand into his as they strolled through the cold night.

“Have always wanted to walk like this with you”he mumbled after a moment of silence between them.

She only smiled,
“I’ve really prayed for this day to come when you will look at me and smile, when I will make jokes and you will laugh and… ”

“Mark”she interrupted,
He fell silent waiting for her to speak,
“Aren’t you tired of loving me? ”

“I will never get tired of loving you”he replied putting her left hand into his left pocket to prevent her hands from getting cold.

She sighed,
“Thanks”
“You should’ve worn your gloves before coming out “he said as he pulled off his left glove and wore it on her right hand putting his hand into his pocket and interlocking his fingers into hers.

“I didn’t know it will be this cold ”
He nodded and they fell silent again as each other concentrated on their thoughts,

“Mark, can’t you stop loving me? ”
He frowned,
“Why would I do that? ”

“Because I don’t love you, I think I’m in love with someone else”

He smiled even though those words ripped his heart apart, he guessed who that person might be and asked;

“Jake right? “He asked and she nodded slowly trying not to look at his face so she won’t see those pain written all over his face.

He grinned,
“What if I take him away from you? Would you love me? “
