Mr Johnson wakes up due to the ray of light that was reflecting in his room. He sat upright and looked around him and became confused.

“I thought I was supposed to be in the office,,,,what am I doing here”, Mr Johnson muttered.

He remembered taking a sip of the tea Lydia gave him and he doesn’t remember what happened after that.

“She must have drugged my tea to make me sleep”, Mr Johnson thought

He was in thoughts when Justin opened the door and walked in with a tray containing a plate of omelette and bread with a glass of water by the side.

“Oh, father, you’re awake”, Justin said as he carefully placed the tray on his bedside table.

“Yes my son, how did I get here”, he asked

“The driver brought you home”, Justin said and faced his father

“Oh”, he mouthed

“By the way, Lydia told me of how you overwork yourself these days. Don’t you know you’re growing old and that means you are not as fit as before to be doing all these kind of work”

“Do you really want to make me fatherless. I’m not going to let that happen because I’m not going to allow you overwork yourself again. I will also tell Lydia to monitor you”, Justin scolded

“I know son,,I know I’m overworking myself but how will I make things easy for you when you take over the company if I don’t lessen the work for you.

“I don’t want you to end up overworking yourself like me. Please understand that I’m doing this for your sake”, Mr Johnson said softly

“I know father but I can’t just watch you stress yourself or is it till you die before I will stop you”, Justin said worriedly

“Stop talking about death Justin, no one’s going to die. The least that could happen is that I will just fall sick”, Mr Johnson said

“Falling sick is not a small thing,,,it can make me die of worry”, Justin argued

“I’ve heard you son, I’ll try to reduce the time I spend working”, Mr Johnson smiled

“That’s better father. Here,,,,eat so you can take your drugs”, Justin said placing the food in front of his father.

Mr Johnson finished his food and took his drugs then something flashed his mind

“Justin,,,,,I have an important question to ask you”, Mr Johnson asked

Johnson stopped what he was doing and looked at his father keenly

“Go on”, Justin said

“What will you do if your mother comes back”, Mr Johnson couldn’t help but ask

Justin frowned at the mention of his mother. He despise him mother ever since she left him and his father without a goodbye

“I won’t do anything to that useless woman”, Justin said with anger

“Stop it Justin,,,,no matter what, don’t call the woman that gave birth to you useless”, Mr Johnson scolded and Justin scoffed.

“After all she’s done to you,,,,you still choose to support her”, Justin said

“You can’t blame me son. I’ve forgiven her a long time ago. I hope you can do the same”, Mr Johnson smiled sadly

“That’s you father,,,,I’m sorry, i might not forgive her. Excuse me father”, Justin said and left.

Mr Johnson stared at the door and sighed sadly.

“I really pray you forgive your mum one day”, he said

Justin went straight to the garden to receive fresh air.

Everything was going on smoothly until his father brought up his mother. How can he expect her to forgive him.

Justin plucked a flower and inhaled the scent deeply which seemed to have calmed him down a bit

He started walking around the garden enjoying it’s peace and quietness.

“Excuse me young master,,,,you have a visitor”, the gatekeeper announced

“Who’s that”, Justin asked

“A young girl,,, slightly shorter than you” the man described

Justin furrowed his brows but nodded to allow the man open the gate.

The man left and came back with a young lady at his back.

When she got there,,,she found Justin staring into space so she went behind him silently and used her hand to blindfold his eyes

“Hey,,,, who’s that”, Justin asked and the girl giggled

The girl refused to say a word instead she started giggling which seemed to annoy Justin a bit.

Justin held the pair of hands blocking his eyes and turned the person around. That made the girl to loose her balance making her hands to leave Justin’s eyes and she landed on his laps.

“So it’s you,,,why didn’t you talk”, Justin said

“If I had talked then it wouldn’t be a surprise anymore”, Chrysler pouted and Justin quickly pecked her lips.

“So you wanted to surprise….I guess your plan worked, you surprised me”, Justin smiled but the smile didn’t seem to reach his eyes.

“What happened,,,,you seem happy but I feel like something’s wrong”, Chrysler asked

“Nothing is wrong”, Justin forced a smile

“It’s a lie,,,tell me what happened”, Chrysler demanded

“Okay fine,,,,my father talked about my mum today”, Justin said sadly.

“And what did he say about her”, Chrysler asked

“He told me to forgive her and let go of the past,,,,like it’s that easy”, Justin said in an aloof tone

“I know it’s not easy but you have to do it,,,,it’s for the best”, Chrysler smiled

“I know but it’s hard to forgive someone who you trusted so much only for the person to abandon you when you need her the most,,,,it hurts,,,,so much”, Justin said with tears in his eyes

“It’s okay baby,,,,all will be well okay. Just take your time,,, you’ll eventually forgive her one day”, Chrysler said

“That reminds me,,, I want you to meet my dad. I want my dad to know the beautiful girl that stole my heart”, Justin said with a toothh grin.

“You’ve got a very sweet tongue that can make any girl fall in love with you”, Chrysler chuckled

“But my sweet tongue is reserved for you and you alone”, Justin said and pinched her nose playfully.

“Are we still going or not”, Chrysler asked

“Oh,,,let’s go in”, Justin held her hand and led into the house

“What a beautiful house you’ve got”, Chrysler marvelled at he sight of the interior decorations.

There were paintings of legendary doctors and even artists.

“Wait here,,,let me go call my dad”, Justin said and rushed to call his dad.

He came back the next minute with his dad.

“Good day sir”, Chrysler greeted.

“Hmmm,,,,,you must be the girl that caught my son’s eye”, Mr Johnson teased and Chrysler blushed

“Both father and son has e sweet tongue”, She thought.

“Pardon my manners,, please have your seat”, Mr Johnson said.

Chrysler sat on the sofa while Justin sat near her.

They trio spoke for some time until it was 5pm.

“It’s getting late father,,,let me see Chrysler off”, Justin said

“Can I speak to you before that”, Mr Johnson requested and Justin left at once leaving Chrysler in the sitting room

Mr Johnson took his son to a secluded corner and looked at him intently

“What is it father,,,,why are you staring at me like that”, Justin asked

“Do you really love her or do you wanna play games with her”, Mr Johnson asked

“I love her so much dad. I want to spend the rest of my life with her”, Justin replied and his dad nodded.

“That’s good. She’s a good girl,,,make sure you never loose her to anyone. She’s the one for you”, Mr Johnson said and Justin smiled

“I’m glad you like her. I promise never to let her go”, Justin said and the father patted his shoulder gently

“Let’s go”, he said

“Did he tell you anything bad about me”, Chrysler asked with a scared tone

“No baby,,, there’s no need to be scared,,,my dad likes you. He just told me something very important”, Justin smiled

“Can we go now”, Chrysler said

“Okay okay”, Justin held her hand and led he out of the mansion. They walked hand in hand till Chrysler’s driver arrived and picked her up.
