“I still can’t believe you’re mine now”, Gwen smiled. Her head was resting on Christian’s shoulder.

“And why’s that”, he asked

“I have been crushing on you for a long time but you were only looking at Chrysler. I almost thought I don’t stand a chance again until you asked me out”, Gwen said.

Christian sat upright and faced Gwen.

“I know I was foolish back then. I was obsessed with Chrysler that I failed to see the person who truly loves me. And now that I have you,,,,I’m not going to let you go for anything”, Christian smiled and pecked her on the lips.

Gwen and Christian have been dating for a while now

FLASHBACK**

“There’s something I want to tell you because it has being bothering me for a while now”, Christian said nervously.

“Say it, you know you can always tell me anything”, Gwen said

“I think I’m in love with you,,,,I don’t know how it happened but I fell in love with you”, Christian said

Gwen stared at him in disbelief. She loves him but she never thought he’d ever love her back. She almost gave up on him but here he is, professing his love for her.

“Say something please”, Christian pleaded

“I don’t know what to say,,,,I mean,,,,I love you too Christian”, she said and tears ran down her cheeks.

“This is the best day ever”, Christian shouted and lifted her above the ground and twirled her around.

“I love you so much”, he said and went for her lips immediately. He kissed and sucked on it like it was a candy that’s about to be taken away from a baby.

Gwen couldn’t believe what was happening. She pinched herself and hissed in pain and that was when she realized it’s real.

“I love you” Christian smiled

“I love you too”, Gwen said and they both started at the sky.

Today is different from other days. The boys in the science department are going to be playing against the boys in the humanities department.

The science department consists of the four sweetheart and their goalkeeper while the humanities department have chosen their representatives.

This ball is gonna be a tough one because each time the science plays against the humanities, they end up having a draw.

Everyone rushed to the field to get a front seat. Chrysler and Steph were no different, they ran to the field but they couldn’t get the front seat, seems like people were faster than them.

Chrysler’s eyes started looking for Justin until she saw him and she found him staring at her too. When their eyes met, he winked and she mouthed ‘good luck’.

Vivian saw them and scoffed mentally. “Show off”, she muttered.

The game started and it was going smoothly, it was still a draw as usual. No one was ready to back down.

They were playing until Justin tripped and fell. People thought he was gonna get back up but when he didn’t, they started murmuring.

Chrysler panicked and ran to the field. She pushed anyone that was in her way till she got to the field.

Vivian too ran to meet Justin but Chrysler got there before her.

“My love,,,are you hurt anywhere”, Chrysler asked worriedly.

“Calm down,,,,it’s just a minor injury. I’ll be fine”, Justin assured.

They placed Justin on a stretcher and rolled him to the sickbay with other students following at the back.

“Wait here”, Nurse K said to the rest of the students and entered the room where Justin was taken to and locked the door.

“Does here hurt”, Nurse K asked as she placed her hand on his ankle.

Justin shook his head

“How about here”, she moved her hand up a bit and that was when Justin hissed in pain.

Nurse K massaged the place carefully while Justin tried as much as possible to hold the pain till she finished.

She applied an ointment before wrapping a bandage over the place.

“You can go in to see him but one at a time please. He doesn’t need much noise now”, Nurse K came out and announced.

Chrysler didn’t wait for her to finish with her statement before she dashed into the room and crouched in front of Justin.

“My baby,,,,are you okay now”, Chrysler asked. Worry and panic was written all over her face.

“You look like a worried mom right now. I’m fine,,, there’s nothing to worry about”, Justin smiled

“Are you sure”, Chrysler asked and he nodded.

They started talking about random things till his eyelids became heavy.

“Nurse K,,,, what happened to him”, Chrysler furrowed her brows

“I injected him with a sleeping drug to help him sleep so that the wound can heal”, Nurse K answered.

“Ohh”, Chrysler muttered and turned to Justin but he has already started sleeping.

He was snoring softly making Chrysler to chuckle. She looked at him one more time and left.

She was going back to her class when she bumped into Vivian

She moved to the other side so she could pass but Vivian dragged her back and landed a slap on her face

“What is your problem,,,,why can’t you just stay away from Justin. Leave him for me”, Vivian said with hatred

“Are you through with talking so that I can go”, Chrysler said with so much hatred

“How dare you”, Vivian said and pushed Chrysler to the floor. Chrysler didn’t hesitate to drag her down with her.

She got on top Vivian and started beating her till her face turned red.

“This will teach you a lesson never to cross paths with me again. Justin belongs to me and only me,,,,you better get that into your thick empty skull”, Chrysler spat and walked away leaving Vivian on the floor.

“My beautiful face,,,,,what have you done. You’ll pay for this Chrysler”, Vivian said and managed to get up and left.

“Mr Johnson,,,,I think you should go home and get some rest. You’ve been working since morning and it’s not good for your health”, Lydia walked into the office with a cup of tea and dropped it on the table.

“I know that Lydia but how can I do that now that my son have not come of age to manage my corporation for me. And I need to make things a little easier for him”, Mr Johnson said still busy with some paperwork

“If you insist, then no problem. I made your tea for you, just the way you like it”, Lydia smiled.

“Thank you Lydia”, Mr Johnson said and drank some of the tea and placed it back on his table.

“He also looks handsome when he’s serious”, Lydia thought and smiled inwardly

Few minutes later, he started feeling dizzy which was unusual. Lydia smiled and called in the driver to take him home and make sure he rests.

“I’m sorry Mr Johnson,,,,I can’t watch you risk your life and not do anything”, Lydia muttered and finished up from where Mr Johnson stopped.

She finished it by 8pm in the night. She yawned tiredly and stretched.

“So this was what he would have gone through if I hadn’t put that sleeping drug in his tea”, Lydia thought and her eye caught a photo of a woman placed on top of the table.

“This must be his wife before she left him. What kind of woman leaves a kind hearted man like Mr Johnson. I hope she never comes back”, Lydia frowned

She packed her bag and arranged the office before she left for her house.
