SWOOSH!

Something moved and grazed past his ear with a speed of lightning.

His survival instinct kicked in and he ducked and squatted by the side of his car for safety. He touched his ear and felt his hand get soaked with something cold and liquid — BLOOD!. The only thing that came to his mind was BULLET!

Immediately he rushed into his car and drove swiftly out of there.

‘Someone wants me dead’,that thought kept ringing in his head.

If he didn’t move slightly he would have been sprawled on the floor because that bullet was aimed for his head.

This is bad!

Someone is trailing him and it confirms his suspicion that indeed there is really a dark secret been hidden.

CHAPTER 22

Authoress POV

“How did it go?”

” Is he dead?”

“Where did you dispose his body?”

“Hope it won’t be traced back to you?”

Mrs Jung bombard the man beside her who looks like a terrorist with a lot of questions.

“Ma’am”,he began.

“Speak!”,she ordered with haste.

“He escaped”,he blurted and the bag Mrs Jung is holding,fell to the floor.

“You said WHAT??”,she screeched and slapped him across his face.

“I gave you an easy job and you couldn’t so it well. Are you rusted!”,she yelled,not liking the strange feeling that is clouding her mind. Mrs Jung likes to have things to smoothly and go as planned but now….

Authoress thought: So killing someone is now an easy job?

“No!”,she yells out,not liking the thought that is about to crawl in.

“I found out which of the son of the Park’s is conducting a private investigation and his name is Taeyhung. I found him going into the private investigator home but he doesn’t know that I have silenced him”,he assured Mrs Jung,but she won’t hear it as she almost went hysterical.

“YOU DID WHAT!!”,She blowed out making the terror named Ruthless,stagger back.

“Why did you kill him? Did you know the implication of what you’ve done? Now,Taeyhung will affirm that someone is after his life making him be on the look out”

“You just spoiled a perfectly planned job”,Mrs Jung wailed and yelled at the same time.

“Am sorry ma’am. Give me a week and I’ll do a clean job”,Ruthless said and rubbed his gun in a tender way with a vicious glint flashing in his eyes.

“You better”,she snarled and walked away.

‘..or I’ll have to kill you!’,she mused.

Taeyhung sat in his private room with a towel,bowl and first aid kit in hand,trying to stop the bleeding.

“Taey…..OH MY GOSH!”,Ji-hoo gasped as he walked in and saw Taeyhung ear bleeding.

“What happened to you? Did you get into a fight?”,Ji-hoo asked,snatching the towel from Taeyhung hand and dabbing it gently on his ear.

“This look like a bullet”,Ji-hoo frowned and continued,”it looks like a bullet grazed past your ear”.

“It did”,Taeyhung answered like it was no big deal.

“You are kidding right?”,Ji-hoo peered into Tae’s face.

“Are you an undercover agent or assassin?”,Ji-hoo asked.

Taeyhung groaned and smacked Ji-hoo on his forehead. “I wish I was,so I can shut you up with a gun”

“Oww!”,Ji-hoo winced in pain.

“Will you clean my wound up or do I need to continue smacking your forehead?”,Taeyhung raised a brown at him.

Ji-hoo waved his hand in the air as a sign of denial,”No need”,he grinned cheekily and kept mute.

LEE JIM-IN

“Will you stop this?”,Aera glared at me.

I raised my brow in form of a question,’what did I do?’.

“I am trying to concentrate and you been near me isn’t helping matters”,she snapped at me.

I chuckled and leaned in,even more closer. “I like that I have so much effect on you”

“What do you mean?”,she swats my arm and pushed me back to my seat,creating enouhh space between us.

“You just said that you can’t concentrate with me beside you. It means I have an effect on you”,I winked at her.

She face palmed herself after realizing that she indeed said that,giving herself away.

“You don’t need to feel embarrassed..I like it!”

“Its understandable for me to have effect on females and surely you won’t be an exception”,I grinned cheekily and pointed at my face.

“I mean,have you seen this face and greek beauty”.

“Prideful and shameless”,she scoffed and faced her book.

“I’ll take that as a compliment”.

“Urrgh!”,she groaned.

“Yunno…”

“When I met and knew you…you weren’t so expressive but now you have really changed. It suits you”.

I earned a glare from her.

After the class,Aera rushed away even before I could pack up my things. I felt hurt by that action and sadly I don’t know why. Is she hell bent on avoiding me?.

Why do you even care?

This is the question I have been asking myself for a while now. Why do I even stick around even when she wants me faraway from her. Why did I care if she wants to avoid me. I should be happy right? Its not like she is special to me anyway! I helped her when she needed it and now I need to back off? But why does it hurt to think about that.

Lately,my brain is a muddle of mess! Does she feel this torrent of emotion I am feeling now or is it just one-sided.

I walked in and sat inside my newly acquired Red Audi R8 car. Instinctively,my eyes darted to the door of the lecture hall and I saw Aera step out with the guy she sat with. My eyes almost popped out of it a socket when I saw her hug the guy and my heart ached…strange!

JUNG AERA

Immediately after class,I rushed out in other to avoid you-know-who. I heaved a sigh of relief when I saw him walk towards his car.

“Hey…I was looking for you”,Min-jun appeared out of nowhere.

I rolled my eyes in frustration.

‘So much for hiding’,i grumbled in a barely audible voice.

“Why don’t I drop you off at your dorm?”,he offered.

I declined immediately.

“C’mon”,he persists.

“I am going along that way and I just want to drop you off”,he continued his plea.

I sighed in defeat,”fine”.

“Thanks”,he grinned and pointed to a red car parked at the end of the car garage. “That’s my car. I’ll be right there now. I just need to see the lecturer”.

I nodded and didn’t even see the car he pointed at.

“Can I get a hug?”,he grinned at me.

“Don’t push your luck”,I scoffed and made to walk away.

“Stop been stiff and have fun. There is no harm in hugging”,he said,still smiling.

‘I don’t know why I find myself agreeing to his demand’.

I leaned closer and hugged him.

“See”,he grinned,”I didn’t hurt and I didn’t bite”.

I just walked on and entered a Red car Because that was all I heard,’red car’.

I entered and sighed as I slumped on the seat.

“What are you doing in my car”

“MY GOD!”,I jumped in fright and turned to see Jim-in.

“Why are you in Min-jun car?”,I glared at him.

He smirked and pointed outside the window,”you mean that car”.

I almost slapped myself for my stupidity. I mistook Jim-in car for that of Min-jun and they are coincidentally Red in color.

Can today get any better,?I groaned.
